FEATURES OF MEDIATEK DIMENSITY 1300
The Dimensity 1300, like the Dimensity 1200 from last year, has a 1+3+4 core configuration. The ‘Ultra’ Cortex-A78 core runs at 3.0GHz, while the remaining three Big Cortex-A78 cores run at 2.6GHz. At 2.0GHz, the four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores are clocked.The same 9-core Arm Mali G77MP9 GPU, which was previously utilised on the Dimensity 1000 and Dimensity 1200, is retained by MediaTek for 2022, and simply feels a little dated. HyperEngine 3.0 gaming has been updated to HyperEngine 5.0, which should result in improved game mode optimizations. MediaTek doesn’t say how big of a difference this will make in real-world game performance. Aside from that, MediaTek claims a 10% increase in AI workload handling.
The Dimensity 1300 provides multi-camera combinations of 32+16MP and a single camera configuration of 200MP in terms of camera capabilities. Staggered 4K HDR video recording with real-time 3-exposure fusion is supported by the SoC. On the connectivity front, nothing has changed. Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and dual-mode 5G are all supported by the Dimensity 1300. There is no support for mmWave 5G, which makes sense given the markets where the SoC would most likely be used. In comparison to the MediaTek Dimensity 1200, virtually nothing has changed.
